Mud work is the mortar base we build over the raw concrete shell before any tile or stone goes on. We manipulate it until every wall is plumb, straight, flat, and level. That means no humps, no dips, and no gaps under a straightedge. It’s the part nobody sees once the pool is filled, and it’s the single biggest reason a finish still looks flawless at year ten.
Materials and labour. Tile alone can run anywhere from $14 a square foot for standard options to over $100 for custom material. On top of that, reverse-engineering a layout so every corner mitres cleanly takes far longer than cutting pieces to fit. We quote the build we’d want in our own yard.
Both. A good portion of our work involves structural restoration. We bring older pools back to plumb and true, then refinish them properly. Send photos of your existing pool with your inquiry, and we can quickly let you know what’s realistic.
